A look into beauty, that doesn't harm our furry friends
Continuing on my haul journey through the US, my next stop was to Ulta. I really came here for one item, but left with a bunch!
Does this look familiar? Probably not, in it’s full packaging. Let’s try this:
Ohhhh yes, it’s the Tarte Gorgeous Getaways Portable Palette Set. The eye shadows were just calling my name, and the fact that you can take out a set of 4 shadows and one blush in a portable case was just genius. I’ll admitt, the lip glosses are a little bit sticky for my tastes, but I’ll still give them a go!
Next on my hit-list were brushes. I’m a fan of my Real Techniques, but I wanted to give another brand a go, so I turned to EcoTools.
My two points I wanted to hit were ‘easy to carry on trips’ and ‘eye brush variety’. The Six Piece Day-To-Night Clutch set hit both of those marks perfectly, with a variety of eye tools, along with a pretty clutch that can hold all the brushes in the set (plus more of my own if I want!). I can’t tell you guys how soft these brushes are.. just…. perfect! Plus, there’s no animal hair, so win-win! As for the Retractable Kabuki Brush, I bought this to go with my next purchase:
The Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation. I’m still a makeup n00b, and I’ve only ever tried liquid foundations. With this, I was hoping to experience what powder is all about. Oddly enough, even though this is a powder, it NEVER feels dry (which supposedly is a rarity?). I’m still in the beginning phases of trying this one out, but so-far…okay? I’ll get back to you with more on this one! Also, my EcoTools brush may not of been the best combo for this powder- I would suggest the brush Tarte has to go with this over the EcoTools brush.
After a little more perusing through the store, I came across this mini set and was SMITTEN with the black color in the middle. I consider the other two bonuses with this purchase. And yet I haven’t tried the middle polish yet, shame! I do have a review on the gold polish, Ziv, here.
To finish up the haul (which I felt only took 20 minutes in the store, huzzah!), I got my hands on the Physician’s Formula Organic Mascara. FINALLY!!! Ever since I switched to cruelty free, I’ve had the -worst- luck with finding a mascara that doesn’t flake or turn me into a raccoon. *glares at Lush and Nyx* I can see myself using this mascara till the end of time, it lengthens and separates beautifully. If you’re big on YouTube, Tati (GlamLifeGuru ) picked this as her top mascara for 2013, as well as for past years too. I trust her word, and understand completely why she loves it soo much. If you haven’t tried this, what are you waiting for? Get your hands on it!
I can’t believe I have more things I hauled, but I did! Last, but not least, my trip to Target! See you tomorrow!
