A look into beauty, that doesn't harm our furry friends
This probably seems completely out of place. April, isn’t this more a cruelty-free beauty blog? What are you postin’ cartoons for?
I wouldn’t consider myself a hardcore gamer, but I love video games. Back in the day, I remember downloading an emulator on my computer and going through the 1st generation of Pokemon. There are sooo many, you really gotta catch’em all! (Did you know- that catchphrase is something the US market came up with. It’s not the slogan from the original in Japan. Go figure, us greedy Westerners!) I think my favorites are the Eevee evolutions, but I do have quite a few after that lineup, Vulpix included. I mean… look at it! The curly tail, the tiny-tinyness, it’s just squeee worthy.
I’m really lucky to have a tech-savvy husband. He basically created a program, from SCRATCH, to take the colors from the original pokemon image art, and translate what the colors are in the DMC thread collection. It is in no way fool-proof, but it helps immensely in getting an idea of what colors we need for each one. I think for this one, it took me a total of 2 1/2 days to complete it. Here’s a little layout of the progress:
My goal is once I’m done cross-stitching, to frame them and hang them in a room. I do have a couple others done right now too:
I want to do Luxray next, but I’m definitely up for suggestions! Are there any you’re wanting to see? Please, don’t pick a dragon. Nothing huge… LOL. Leave me a comment and I’ll take it into consideration for my next project!
Do you like to cross-stitch? Sew, knit, crochet? I’d love to hear any projects you’ve done, or ones you’re working on! Hope you’re having a great day!
