Blushing Biddies

A look into beauty, that doesn't harm our furry friends

March Favs, Rage, and Craves

March is coming to a close, so it’s time to round up all my favorite things! I actually am starting to look forward to these posts, as I can reminisce on those good ol’ times with some of my favorite products.

  • Bath and Body Works 3-wick candle in London Calling– “Delight your mates with a fragrance fit for the Queen. A royal blend of tea, lemon and sugar transport your senses across the pond.” It really does smell like tea + lemon, which is really nostalgic for me. B&BW hit this one out of the park!
  • Michael Todd’s Clear Bi-Light– I took a risk and decided to try this, because my hormonal acne is something fierce. It isn’t a cure-all, but it definitely has calmed down the amount of smaller acne that likes to pop up.
  • Antipodes’ Aura Manuka Honey Mask– I can’t believe how amazing honey is for my skin! Antibacterial + moisturizing, this is my go-t0 mask when my face is an utter mess. I especially like to use this as an overnight mask (give it some time to set on your face before you start countin’ zzz’s), because it leaves my face in at least 80% better condition that next morning. I’m definitely considering searching for a Manuka honey to start washing my face with.
  • Deborah Lippmann’s “Across the Universe”– I craved DL’s “Cleopatra in New York” for my birthday, but I actually went with “Across the Universe” instead! It’s just perfect for a Pisces- it looks like a beautiful ocean on your nails. This polish is doing glitter RIGHT. I usually go for 3 coats, and it will easily last a week on me.
  • Black Cat Lacquer in “Virgo”– Another polish, but this time I went for an indie brand! I couldn’t of picked a more perfect polish for St. Patrick’s Day, and it applies like a dream.
  • Merona raincoat from Target– You probably have to do a double-take to even notice I added part of my raincoat in the picture above, lol! Its the grey & white stripped thing on the right side- which has proved to be an essential piece to my wardrobe, as I now live in Seattle.

The monthly rage is a random one- street noise. I’m not really raging about it, but it’s something I definitely need to get used to. Back in Hong Kong, I was all the way up on the 49th floor. The only downside to things was that our windows weren’t screened (which is very nerve-wracking if you have two biddies), so we never even bothered having them open. Plus, HK doesn’t have the best reputation for pollution for a very good reason. Yet now that I’m in Seattle, on the 4th floor with windows open as much as possible, all I can notice is the noise from outside. I’m glad it hasn’t scared the biddies much, as they still sit on the window banister, staring at all the fun things out the window. I really do like our apartment, but that’s just one out of the two “beefs” I have with it. Still, I’d rather have these problems any day over moving back overseas- I was seriously soo homesick!

This is kind of embarrassing- but because I’m not working from my own computer or laptop (I’m at the library! Huzzah public library!), I can’t make a little collage of things I want for my craves list. I’ll just have to show a picture for each, so bear with me! >0<

Anastasia’s Brow Wiz eyebrow pencil

Ever since my not-cruelty-free eyebrow pencil broke, I’ve stayed strong in holding out for the perfect eyebrow filler. It’s funny, I definitely am not lacking in any eyebrow hair, but when they’re filled properly, they just look like less of a hairy mess! If I can’t get my hands on a cheaper alternative, I will break down and buy Anastasia’s Brow Wiz. It’s not that I’m worried about the performance, I’ve heard nothing but great things! I just hate the price tag, coming in at a whopping $21. The cheapskate in me is bawling.

TOKYOMILK DARK’s “Everything and Nothing No. 10” Eau de Parfum Spray

I’ve been on the hunt for my next cruelty free perfume, and lucky for me Sephora has a brand I never heard of before- TOKYOMILK. With the word “dark” in their title, I was definitely hesitant at first, but holy cow… this scent is amazing! Going on that tea-scent-craze again, this has notes of Sweet Orange, Pressed Petals, Dessert Moss and Tea Leaves (yes, TEA LEAVES!). I am loving the sample I got, but I will definitely need a bottle of this in the near future.

TOKYOMILK DARK’s “La Vie La Mort No. 90” Eau de Parfum Spray

Again with the perfume? Yes, again!! Another scent I fell in love with in TOKYOMILK DARK‘s line is this one. Definitely more floral, but in no way overpowering, I want to wear this every day in spring. It describes the scent as having notes of White Tuberose, Cardamom, Hibiscus Leaf, Jasmine. The jasmine stands out the most to me, which I’m realizing is my new favorite floral scent. ❤

Conair’s Heat Waves® Jumbo and Super Jumbo Hot Rollers

My hair is soo smooth and silky, but absolutely lacking volume. Which is a shame, considering how long it’s getting! I want that fluffy, voluminous hair the Victoria Secret models have. A girl can dream, right? I do have a hair straightener/curler I can use, but I want my hair –even bigger-. This set has the biggest set of curlers I’ve been able to find, 4 at 1.75″ and 4 at 1.5″. Yes pls k thanks I need this 😀

“Spring has spruuuuuuung!”

You made it, huzzah! What were your favs this month? Or anything out there on the horizon that you’re dying to get your hands on? Let me know, I’m soo curious as to what on your minds too! ❤

I just made my first purchase of the Deborah Lippmann polishes and love them! I was hesitant with the price but I’d say they are worth it! I have been dying to get the Kjaer Weis foundation…but that is a pretty hefty investment too (haha)…oh the decisions!
Love all of your March favs! How are you liking Seattle?? My sister is actually thinking about moving out west!

I keep hearing about that KW foundation- isn’t it available at Whole Foods? I’m DEFINITELY curious about it too :3 and yay Deborah Lippmann WTF! I somehow ended up with three in the span of a month and a half, LOL.
Seattle is fantastic!!! I seriously couldn’t be happier, this place is just kinda grand. If your sis is thinking of Seattle, you can send her my contact info if she needs any help :3 then if you come visit her, maybe a meetup? 😀 ❤

I'd love to hear your thoughts!
