A look into beauty, that doesn't harm our furry friends

Baby steps into Orange Lips

The hottest color for summer seems to be orange, and I definitely wanted to jump on the bandwagon. However, pulling off an orange lip is rather intimidating at first! It’s weird to see that color on your lips, but I have the solution if you have the same hesitations that I did. Here are two lip crayons that aren’t super opaque, but gives you just a little hint of orange.

H&M “Papaya Punch” lip pen,  Pür Minerals “Coralline” Lip gloss stick

First up is a color from H&M- surprising, right? When you first hear H&M, makeup does not come to mind. Yet I’ve been pleasantly surprised with this product. It definitely leans more towards a a pinky-coral, but it’s all about baby steps here. It’s a light, sheer formula, and it doesn’t dry out your lips. Just enough color to get you started towards the road of orange.

Next up is a color from Pür Minerals, “Coralline”. This definitely is more of a true orange, but it won’t overwhelm your eyes because of it’s sheer-glossy nature. You can build it up slightly, but I would say you can get a medium-coverage at best. Still, I’m really pleased with the color pay-off for a newbie like me. Plus, it’s my first purchase from Pür Minerals, which proudly promotes being cruelty free with the official logo (which makes shopping soooo much easier!).

Thanks to these two, I’ve been able to build up my confidence to a more opaque lipstick, which is what my next post will be about. Any guesses? Hint- it’s a drugstore brand, soo -BUTTERY- and smooth! I’ll leave you with some swatches on my arm, but if anything I would highly recommend the Pür Minerals to get you started with adding orange to your colors of comfort 🙂
