Blushing Biddies

A look into beauty, that doesn't harm our furry friends

A Nordstrom Rack Haul

To end this week’s focus on beauty hauls, I present to you my latest one from Nordstrom Rack. I’m surprised at the great deals you can get there, not only on palettes and packages, but on single products as well. I was only searching for the small black compact palette, but the store I visited had two other Too Faced products from their 2013 Holiday Line that I missed out on. And they were the last ones in the store- lucky day for me, woohoo! Each item was either 50%-75% off original price, so I didn’t feel too bad hauling these at once, but I do think my wallet needs a break from any more beauty purchases. Anyways, let’s take a quick gander at the goods:

First up is Too Faced’s “Glamour to Go” mini palette. This lil’ guy can fit across my hand, it is so perfectly compact! ❤  I really wanted to get my hands on this because when I pack makeup for traveling, I always carry way too much. I think with this, it will really help me minimize all the different products I need. The eyeshadows are beautiful, versatile, and right up my alley in color selection. The blushes are simple and easy as well- the only thing I’m slightly hesitant about is the lip color in the middle. I never really get on well with lip colors in a palette, but we’ll see how it goes.

Next up is Too Faced’s Holiday 2013 kit, All I Want For Christmas. Not only is the makeup bag adorable, but the products included are a great selection: a full size Shadow Insurance eyeshadow primer, a Perfect Eyes eyeliner, a Lash Injection mascara, an exclusive blush/eyeshadow trio compact, and a full size La Creme Lip Cream lipstick in the exclusive color Believe. Even though this was a holiday kit, I can easily use all of these products right now, as the colors weren’t focused just for the winter season. I think my favorite product in the bunch is the compact- the colors are soo beautiful (I will do a post just on these product soon! <3).

Last, but certainly not least, is the Joy to the Girl’s eyeshadow book. The colors here are so fun and exciting- I can see myself using ‘Joy’, ‘Too-Too’, and ‘Twinkle’ right now. Kudos to Too Faced for deciding on colors that will work all year long! The bonus to this kit is the full-sized LashGASM mascara. I cannot wait to start playing around with all of these colors ❤

To end on an adorable note, looks like one of my biddies wanted to join the photo session. Say hello to Iddy Biddy (AKA: IB), my husky lil’ man.

Don’t mind his expression, I think I just woke him up when I started shooting pictures.

He’s ready for his close-up X3

Along with Too Faced, I’ve found Urban Decay, Burt’s Bees, Nyx, Nars, and Tarina Tarinto at Nordstrom Rack for cruelty free options. If you like these brands, I would definitely recommend a trip to your closest store. Just a word of wisdom though: DON’T MAKE YOUR OWN SWATCHES. I can understand if you want to open the product to better see the color, but the more you make swatches, the less there is actually to buy. Plus, stores will start taping up products completely to give customers a better chance of buying products that haven’t been ripped into. Give your fellow make-up enthusiasts a fighting chance, and hit up a Sephora or Ulta if you really need to swatch something. ❤ If you’ve found any goodies at Nordstrom Rack, let me know in the comments- I love hearing about deals & savings 😀

I don’t have a TJ Max close to me- what cruelty free stuff have you found there? I’ve also found some things at Marshall’s too (just haven’t been there in a while)

I'd love to hear your thoughts!
