A look into beauty, that doesn't harm our furry friends
** Update (6/2/2014) Right now there isn’t a clear answer as to if Milani and Jordanna are cruelty free or not, read all about it on Logical Harmony’s blog post here.
Next in the line of Lucky Lady posts is a giveaway I entered on Twitter. Seriously, social media sites like Twitter and Instagram are a great place to keep your eyes peeled for giveaways, I’ve seen many companies doing them daily! From Milani’s twitter account, I won one of the daily giveaways they were holding a few a weeks ago. I was really pumped for these products, as I have no lip products from them in my personal collection. They didn’t mention the color they would be going with, but they made a safe decision with choosing Nude across the board. Starting from top to bottom, the Color Statement Lipstick is in Nude Creme. It applied on smoothly, and had plenty of pigment. Immediately I could smell the infamous melon scent that seems to instantly turn off many people. I’m not a fan of it, but it doesn’t really deter me from wearing it either. Just be careful when you wear this color, as it will definitely highlight any flakiness or deep creased on your lips. Next up is the lip liner in Nude. It definitely surprised me when I swatched it after the lipstick, as it’s significantly deeper in color. This at least makes things interesting though, where I can wear the lipstick one day, and use the lip liner for an all-over color the next. Last up is a Brilliant Shine lip gloss in the color Nude Touch. There barely is any pigmentation, but this is a helluva lot of shimmer! This will definitely transform any matte color in your collection. To be honest though, this absolutely is a sticky formula. It’s not too much, but it’s right on the borderline of it. Just be warned :P.
