Victoria’s Secret IS NOT cruelty free

vs-logoSo after blabbing in my May Favs, Rage, and Craves video and post about how much I was enjoying a certain lotion from Victoria’s Secret, I stumbled across a post from Logical Harmony proving me wrong! *sigh* I managed to miss this news when I was transitioning from Hong Kong to Seattle, but the news is out (and has been out for a couple months!). Tashina pretty much explains it all in her post here, but the company decided to add the phrasing “except where required by law” to their cruelty free statement. This is a huge disappointment for me, as I have so many fragrances from the line. No worries though, I can fall back on my two favorite scents I purchased from TokyoMilk, who I recently confirmed with that they are cruelty free, hurray!

So just stay on your toes, you’ll always learn something new every day! For comprehensive lists of cruelty free companies from fellow bloggers, I highly suggest Logical Harmony, My Beauty Bunny, and Phyrra. I just hope one day I can become as reliable of a source as them. Here’s hoping!

I pretty much check My Beauty Bunny before I hit Sephora anymore. Who’s cruelty free and who isn’t changes so quickly these days. Ugh!

Things change so fast, and information is so tricky to get right! I didn’t know that Victoria Secret isnt CF, and now I do!! Thanks for sharing ❤

Any idea if that applies to Bath and Body Works since they are owned by the same company or if its just VS scents?

So far I haven’t seen anything that says B&BW isn’t cruelty free (and I think it’s bc they haven’t expanded their market outside of the US). If I find something that’s different I’ll DEFINITELY make a post about it. 🙂

I'd love to hear your thoughts!
