A look into beauty, that doesn't harm our furry friends
Keeping with the theme of my my last post about Manuka Honey, I wanted to mention this awesome product from Antipodes, their Aura Manuka Honey Mask. This is actually how I first encountered Manuka Honey, which is the main active ingredient. Combined with the moisturizing properties of avocado oil and grapeseed extract, and you’re left with the most… amazing product, easily one of my top 3 masks. Just think about it- honey is both antiseptic and softening, and the oil and extract helps moisturize. The instructions mention that you can use this mask twice weekly, for approximately 15 minutes each session. Plus, they suggest that its “ideal for treating spots and blemishes as they arise.“, which I’ve tested and can say is true! It doesn’t make the pimple disappear, but it prevents a hard scab from forming and easily helps reduce the size. If I’m having a rough time with my acne, I actually leave this mask on my face overnight and have had amazing results. Just don’t go with a super-thick application, and you’ll be surprised with how your skin feels that next morning. Oh, and don’t even get me started on how absolutely amazing this smells. Just… you need this in your life, trust me.
I’ve had this since late December 2013, and I’ve probably only used 1/3 of the tube. It’s more of a spot-treatment for me, but I indulge myself with a full mask maybe 2 times a month. The product doesn’t come cheap, as I purchased it from feelunique.com at around $38, but I don’t regret it for a second! Rather, I’m just savoring this as much as I can. I don’t know where you can purchase this product in the US, as Antipodes is a brand from New Zealand- if you know any US retailers, please leave it in the comments! Also, just a heads up- Antipodes announced that they are dipping into makeup! I’m so curious as to how their products will work out!
