The Body Shop Colourglide Shine Lip Color in 06-Vintage Rose

Keeping with this week’s theme of products from The Body Shop, next up is another lipstick of theirs, the Colourglide Shine Lip Color in Vintage Rose. Oddly enough, I couldn’t find this product on the US website easily- I had to Google search the exact name and find  link to the product, rather than it being available through the website. So whether this is available for purchase or not, I’m really not sure! I actually got my hands on this lippie when I was living in Hong Kong (does the marble BG look familiar? hehee), and I’m not 100% sure why I picked up this color. I think I found the formula appealing. Like the Colour Crush Shine Lipsticks, the Colourglide Shines are a hybrid of a lip gloss and a lipstick. The main difference is that there is a strong shimmery pearlescent sheen throughout it, giving that “frosty” kind of look. Maybe Elsa would love these? ^^;; I personally am not the biggest fan of anything very shimmery, unless it’s on my eyes, so I am again stumped as to why I grabbed this! Aside from the shimmer, the color is right-on, hitting the pinky brown hue I tend to go for. The formula is decent as well- it doesn’t feel drying at all, and you can build up the color from sheer to a medium coverage.

When would you wear this type of lip color? Summer? Winter? I’m really enjoying more vibrant punches of color, but maybe I need to warm myself up to this product again. Time will tell, I suppose!

I haven’t tried any body shop lippies but this looks nice! I think the shimmer would look nice in the sunshine 🙂
