A look into beauty, that doesn't harm our furry friends
(*** 10/11/2014, thanks to Logical Harmony’s latest post , Bath and Body Works is no longer cruelty free. Please keep this in consideration when you purchase from them- EVEN the candles. I’m keeping this post up to raise awareness to this latest discovery! Thanks everyone)
It’s that time of year again- we’re all praying for summer to be over, so we can indulge in the best season of all: FALL! If you’re a summer person, apologies, but I’ll just never love it like I do fall ❤ Temperatures will drop, and the void will easily be filled with every-possible-thing-PUMPKIN! I’ve been keeping my eyes peeled for the first signs of pumpkin-bonanza to hit stores, and I guess I was just in the right place at the right time when I most recently visited my local Bath and Body Works. They still have a lot of other summer collections running, but not only were they stocked with their fall line of candles, but they were running their ever so popular sale of 3 wick candles, 2 for $22! Imagine my surprise when I noticed that they currently have 8 different pumpkin scented candles. It took some real restraint not to get one of each… I had to go with my all-time-favorite, Pumpkin Cupcake. The scent of pumpkin, baked goodness, butter cream frosting, and a hint of nutmeg make this scent the epitome of fall for me. Next I went with a new one for me, Pumpkin Caramel Latte. I gravitated towards this one because it is definitely sweeter in comparison to Pumpkin Cupcake, and quite honestly I just can’t wait for a Pumpkin Spiced Latte from Starbucks (I’ve noticed they started a twitter account… and of course I’m following!). Last, but certainly not least, is the beautifully sweet scent Autumn. Granted, there’s nothing pumpkin-y about it, but it’s just the right option in case I get pumpkin’ed out (*cough*notlikely*cough*). It’s a lovely fall-focused fruit mix, consisting of dark pomegranate, red apple, and fig. There’s also a hint of fir balsam in there as well, which gives it a good balance from not being too sweet. Plus, I’m not sure if you can notice from the picture above, but the candles in the White Barn line, the lid has a decorative metal leaf connected to it that hangs over the glass. It’s such an unique decorative touch, I love it!
I only bought 4 candles, but I was able to add a coupon on top of the sale. There is a “$10 of any purchase of $30 or more” coupon out right now- if you don’t have it, check out RetailMeNot, as they’re actually a verified company that has permission to post B&BW’s coupons and deals (even if you shop in store and show them the coupon code from the website on your phone, it’s legit!). But to break it down, each candle is originally $22.50 each. The sale alone saves you 50%, and then I got $10 off as well. I got 4 candles for the regular price of what 1 1/2 would be! If that’s not a deal, I’m not sure what is. If you know you’re going to purchase at least $100, there is a 20% off coupon that would help your wallet out some too!
Looking at the website’s listing of their 3-wick candles scents, I wouldn’t mind giving a whiff to Pumpkin Sugared Doughnut (the regular Sugared Doughnut one from the spring line was fanTASTIC), Pumpkin Pecan Waffles, and the infamous Sweater Weather. Are you ready for fall? And pumpkins? And candle-burning 24/7? I absolutely cannot wait! <3<3<3
Also…. I bought this hat… what do you guys think? It might just be my new BFF for fall ^_^
