A look into beauty, that doesn't harm our furry friends
Leaving the beauty world behind for just a minute, today we’re taking a step into my personal life, as me and my husband celebrate our two year anniversary.<3<3<3
If I could give two pieces of advice, my first would be: be true to yourselves. Not just you, not just your significant others, but to what you two believe in. For us, we’re nerds who love Japan, video games, singing made-up songs on the fly, and cherishing the ones close to us. That helped us with our theme (art deco meets old school Zelda), along with feeling okay even though we didn’t have 100+ people at our wedding. Don’t do everything for everyone else, you have to focus on yourselves and make sure you’re happy at the end of the day.
Advice #2- HAVE FUN. IT’S YOUR WEDDING, YA GOTTA HAVE FUN. I was a hot mess, even the morning of as I tried to move decorations and coordinate with the venue. Once I sat down and started my make-up and hair, all the planning stress just melted away. Finally, I was able to be in the moment and enjoy everything that was happening around me. The excitement of my bridesmaids, the decorations coming together, and the anticipation of walking up the aisle to my soon-to-be Mr…. they are all memories I still hold dear to my heart, and I’m so grateful I was able to just be present in that moment, and not let my mind drift off or worry about other things.
Oh, and thirdly- get a good photographer! This day wouldn’t of been captured soo beautifully if it wasn’t for the most amazing and talented lady, Lane from Willow Lane Photography. If you’re in the Chicagoland area, she is your gal, TRUST ME. ❤
If you’re in love, just take a moment and cherish that with your loved one today. Always love them, through thick and thin, forever and always. ❤
