Blushing Biddies

A look into beauty, that doesn't harm our furry friends

…Yay?

So… this happened….I’ve spent over $1,000 at Sephora in a calendar year, which means I’ve been upgraded to the top of the list, and am officially a VIB Rouge member. Honestly, I don’t know if I’m too happy about this….my moneeeyyyyy! T-T Regardless, the damage is done and I’ve collected my swag, so let’s see what the perks are.

First off, the in-hand tangible stuff. Now being a super-special person to Sephora, they included in the welcome kit a mini Bite Beauty lipstick in the color VIB Rouge, which is exclusively for VIB Rouge members. It’s a beautiful classic red color, perfect not just for the holidays but all year long. If I use this mini size up and get a craving for more, the full size version is available for VIB Rouge members through Sephora’s website. There is also another Bite Beauty VIB Rouge exclusive color (Lilac), along with 2 polishes from Formula X (not cruelty free, since they are available in China).
Now for the perks that come in handy for a beauty lover: I can now order off the Sephora website and always get free shipping! Alright, I’ve gotta admit, I like this perk a lot ^_^. Next is beauty consultations. I can now walk into any Sephora, no reservations prior, and get a “makeover”/consultation. This is a great perk if you want to learn a certain technique when YouTube videos just aren’t cutting it. For me, contouring is definitely a scary concept!. I think this is actually a decent perk as well- sometimes I feel bad about asking for samples or for help, but now having the ‘status’ to show I’ve shelled out quite enough cash in the store helps me keep the guilt off my mind! Along with VIB perks is early access to sales and product releases, along with a birthday gift. I’ve got till the end of 2015 to enjoy the top- are you a VIB Rouge? Do you feel like the perks are worth it? Let me know in the comments!

It’s crazy how quick everything adds up. I’m just a purchase short of being a VIB Rouge.

Oh snap- you planning on getting in on the 20% off sale on the 25th to bump you up to VIB Rouge? :3

Oh my gosh, same here! Is it a good thing or bad….hmmm. I love the free shipping aspect, but other than that I don’t find too much perk in it. Regardless I’m still shopping there for the majority of my stuff…so the little perks do help. I love th bite lipstick that they give too!

Sooo happy they’re giving Bite Beauty instead of Chanel when they first started the program, whew!

Huzzah! Welcome to overspending on beauty items 🙂
Honestly, I do not feel like the perks are worth it. I think Ulta has a MUCH better reward program—points actually translate into dollars. How hard is that, Sephora? Seriously, we spend so much money there and all we get is free shipping (which isn’t that hard to get to to begin with, considering the prices) and points to spend on samples? Riiiight….

Agree with ya- and guess who just hit Platinum at Ulta? Which is kinda hilarious because I do not go there NEARLY as much as Sephora.

Well, the Ulta amount to hit for platinum is only $400 I believe, so it’s not that hard. I think I hit platinum with them back in the spring? >.<

  5. I hear ya… I was (almost) relieved when I got demoted to Regular VIB 😉
