A look into beauty, that doesn't harm our furry friends
FINALLY! It took luck, determination, and persistence, but I finally got my hands on one of the Bite Beauty Lip Lab Limited Release Creme Deluxe Lipsticks! Let’s all just take a moment and join me, in spirit, by doing the happy dance. *flails happily and fervently* I was really hoping to get the color for my birthday month (March), but I failed miserably there. Let’s not bring up the battle that was. HOWEVER, I will gladly take my “name month” as a consolation prize!
If you haven’t heard about these lipsticks, Bite Beauty started this limited edition line of lipsticks at the start of this year. Only available on Sephora.com, there is a unique color for each month, and they become available usually the 1st of the month. Once they’re out though, they’re out! So you’ve gotta be quick on the uptake. From the description bar they mention: “Created with BITE Beauty’s coveted Crème Deluxe formula, this lipstick is rich in vitamins, minerals, proteins, and offers over 20 amino acids, freshwater pearl, and silk—which have been used in traditional beauty rituals dating back thousands of years. When added to lipstick, this pairing offers natural moisture-adjusting benefits that leave lips softer and more sensuous. Get the coolest shade in a luxurious formula—available only for a limited time.” Let’s get into the picture overload, shall we?
Homans, you guys, this lipstick is now my everything. April’s color is named “Dragon fruit”, which is perfect! I usually would never go for such a bold, fuchsia color, but this just works with my skin tone along with the season. I feel like this is the perfect color to welcome in spring! I just keep my eyes and cheeks pretty low-key and let the lips do the talking when I wear this. Aside from the color being fabulous, the formula is really what knocks me off my feet. This lipstick doesn’t feel like the other Luminous Creme Lipsticks- it has more of a “slick”, is incredibly moisturizing, and glides on effortlessly over the lips. Also, I wouldn’t of believed their claim of “freshwater pearl” if it wasn’t for the lip swatch above, as there is the slight sheen over my lips. I wore this lipstick to work with a lip liner, and without re-applying it lasted throughout my shift (altogether, a 7 hour day without any eating, just sipping on a drink). I usually wouldn’t recommend a high-price product, as these LE lippies are going for $36 a pop, but this is easily my most favorite lipstick in my collection now. EASILY! Plus, Bite Beauty already has a history of great customer service. When the first LE lipstick went out to customers, they complained that the product was patchy and awful, so the company re-made the color and sent it to all the customers! Talk about customer service, that is absolutely outstanding in my opinion. What do you think? Would you bite the bullet and take the chance on a higher priced lipstick? Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think the color is the most unique thing out there, but that combined with the formula, along with the struggle to get it and being my name-month color, I just had to have it! ❤ If you’re aiming for May’s color, my advice- that refresh button is your best friend!
