Blushing Biddies

A look into beauty, that doesn't harm our furry friends

Champagne Pop

Even though Jaclyn Hill isn’t a cruelty-free specific beauty blogger/guru/Youtuber, that doesn’t stop me from watching her videos. Her energy is contagious, in a good way, and I can’t help but openly laugh and just have a good time. I feel like I’ve been following her for at least a year too, and let me tell ya, this gal knows her stuff. Not only have I enjoyed her personality, but I’ve learned soo many tips and tricks when it comes to beauty. So when she raves about a cruelty-free product (most of the time not even knowing specifically which brands test on animals and which don’t), I usually become very interested. And of course when she collabed with Becca, a cruelty-free company, to make the prettiest highlight powder ever, you know I was all over that!

Even though Becca is pretty much on top if you’re going to ask for the best highlighter out there, Jaclyn brought her A-game when she helped create Champagne Pop. Described as a “soft white gold w/ pinky peach undertones “, this highlight from the Pressed Shimmering Skin Perfector line is supposed to compliment all skin tones. A little definitely goes a long way- I’ll just tap my brush once into the compact, and I’ve loaded enough for one cheekbone. Usually I will just do both cheekbones, and a little extra dab over my cupid’s bow, but you can definitely “glow-all-out” (heeeeeeeehehehe) and hit all the high points on your face if you want. If you’re hesitating on this highlight, don’t hesitate for TOO long, as this is a limited-edition item. I don’t know why, but when I hear that, I just want to go out and grab a back-up. ^^;; But considering that I’m not even making a dent in my compact yet and it’s retailing at $38, maybe I just need some self restraint? What do you all think? Have you tried Champagne Pop yet? Or is this a hype you’re just not into? Also, I’d love to hear your thoughts on who you watch you Youtube if you’re into cruelty-free beauty- do you just stick with the CF Beauty community, or do you watch whoever you want and just make your own CF choices?

This looks really pretty, I’ve really got into highlighters recently – I usually never bothered with it! As for YouTube, I just watch whoever and if I really like the look of something I find a CF alternative if it isn’t already (: x

I'd love to hear your thoughts!
