A look into beauty, that doesn't harm our furry friends
Not too long ago people in the beauty community were explaining how you might need a different color to cancel out the dark purple under the eyes, and not just something that is skin-toned. Some claim orange, some claim red (pretty sure there is a “lipstick correction” thing going on now…hmmm), and pink became a popular color as well. I’m always trying to find ways to cancel out the dark circles under my eyes, and I stumbled across this little gem from Becca: the Under Eye Brightening Corrector. This product only comes in one color, so let’s hope pink works for everyone? (No idea personally, I am -not- a makeup artist ^^;)
You can tell from the initial swatch on my hand that the color is definitely pink, and is very “bright” because there are light-reflecting ingredients infused in as well. Hopefully I’m not the bearer of bad news, but this product alone does not cancel out my under-eye dark circles. HOWEVER, if I use this as a base, and apply my normal under-eye concealer on top of this, then it’s a match made in heaven! My under-eye area doesn’t look heavy or sullen because of too much product trying to mask my imperfections. Rather, thanks to the thin, slick formula of the Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector, the area appears smoother and truly a bit more illuminated. I’ll top it off with my Becca Dual Coverage Compact Concealer and then set it all in place with a little powder. I’ve been using this every day since I’ve gotten it (a month and a half?) and I’ve barely made a dent in it, so I think the steep price tag evens out in the end. Plus, no negative reaction with my under-eye area (finding an eye cream is usually hell for me, so hurray!), so I’m pretty happy with my purchase here. Is this on your holiday wish list? It’s a beaut!
