Blushing Biddies

A look into beauty, that doesn't harm our furry friends

About

Hi all! My name is April, but I also go by Puri :3 I’m currently living in Seattle with my husband and two biddies (Big Biddy and Iddy Biddy- I know, creative, right?). Originally from Indiana (Hoosiers!), I’ve traveled all over the world, and even lived in Japan for a year. I hope this blog can be helpful to everyone, no matter where you live, and can suggest something to you that you never heard about ๐Ÿ˜€ Don’t be surprised if you see other posts appear that don’t analyze makeup or skincare- I have all sorts of hobbies and interests I’d love to share with you! Just to give you some insight about me: I’m a tall half Korean/half American mutt who majored in Japanese (although majorly contemplated Photography or something in the arts) and loves squeeing at pretty much any animal known to man. Didn’t scare you off? Yay! I think we’ll get along just fine ๐Ÿ˜„

I never even thought of products being cruelty free or not until earlier in 2013, when I was introduced to Lush. They have a strong campaign against animal testing, and after researching the topic and seeing some truly horrific images, I quickly took the Cruelty Free pledge. It hasn’t been hard making the change- if anything, it’s been rather fun researching new items! I’m always on the hunt to find the next best thing. I’m quite the bargain hunter, but I’m not afraid to invest in a great product, especially if its in skincare. You gotta have a good base before you build on top of that, right?

I hope you enjoy browsing around through my blog, and learn something new! My main goals in making this blog were to be informative and prove that products can be fantastic and effective without ever being tested on our furry friends. Having a great time and meeting new people along the way is a definite bonus, so don’t hesitate to leave a comment ๐Ÿ˜€

Hi Puri. Thanks for visiting my blog ๐Ÿ™‚
I love the intention of your blog – people really need to know that there are cruelty free opinions to everything! It is helpful that you have done the research and the rest of us can just do the guilty free buying.
As an animal rights activist I have adopted a vegan lifestyle, so I try and avoid everything that is cruel towards animasl.
    All the best, Emy โค
